Six teenagers have been arrested in connection with a burglary and vandalism at Frightland, a haunted attraction in Middletown, Delaware.

According to Delaware State Police, troopers responded to Frightland, located at 309 Port Penn Road, around 11:45 a.m. on Sept. 27, 2026, after receiving a report of a burglary and criminal mischief.

When troopers arrived, police said they learned that during the overnight hours, six unknown teen boys entered several buildings on the property.

The suspects removed spray paint cans and several fire extinguishers from one of the buildings and spray-painted derogatory graffiti on several structures as well as abandoned vehicles used as props, according to police. The suspects also set off four fire extinguishers on the property.

Frightland has 150 surveillance cameras across its property and the team reviewed the footage after discovering the damage. Video showed the teenagers moving through the attraction.

Through their investigation, troopers identified six suspects and obtained warrants for their arrests. All six teenagers later turned themselves into police.

Police said that all six teens was charged with third-degree burglary, second-degree conspiracy and criminal mischief. The burglary and conspiracy charges are felonies.

After being arraigned, police said the suspects were released.

Despite the damage, Frightland still opened it’s doors as scheduled for it’s 30th season.

The Frightland team said the attraction essentially operates as a fundraiser for childhood leukemia research and that the financial impact of the vandalism ultimately hurts that cause.
